Vernon Hills, Illinois - October 10, 2019
Three Mitsubishi Electric factory automation products have been chosen as finalists for the 2020 Control Engineering Engineers’ Choice Awards, a yearly awards program that recognizes innovative new automation technology.

The FR-XC Multifunctional Regenerative Converter, part of our VFD family of products, offers harmonic suppression and power regeneration and enhances efficiency when used in conjunction with VFDs. Incorporating an FR-XC’s regeneration and mitigation functions into an existing system can more than pay for itself in energy savings.

The GT25 Rugged, an HMI designed especially for outdoor use, can function at temperatures between -5 to 150° F (-20 to 65° C) and is UV, vibration, and shock resistant. It is reinforced with a metal housing while keeping the touch screen and all the software native to the GT25 Series HMIs.

The iQ Monozukuri Converting function block library is an engineering tool for printing and converting OEMs to shorten the development time of new machines. It can save hours of programming time by allowing OEMs to work from supplied function blocks for speed and torque control, generating converting application sample programs, and sample HMI screens.

Voting for the contest will be held from October 10 to December 20, 2019. You can vote for the Mitsubishi Electric products and view all the finalists here. Voting is restricted to OEMs and end users who are Control Engineering subscribers.
