Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. Raises over $4,200 for Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County

TricycleOlympics

Vernon Hills, Illinois - October 07, 2019
On August 29, 2019, Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s volunteer and community outreach group, the VISION Committee, hosted the Tricycle Olympics Fundraiser to raise money for the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC), a nonprofit organization that provides recreation programs and services to individuals with special needs and disabilities. Mitsubishi Electric employees, along with members of SRACLC came out to show their support for the employee-driven fundraising effort and cheer on the racers.

The race was a tournament-style relay between teams of three employees. Friends and coworkers would sponsor teams to raise funds before the event started. Mitsubishi Electric raised $4,200 for SRACLC through the event.

The winning racers were able to pick prize items of their choice, and the rest of the prizes were raffled off. The raffle was made possible through sponsors of the event, which included JTB, Accu-Fab inc, Allcom Electronics, Complete Cleaning, ICC Designs, KSM Electronics, Liberty Fasteners, NPN 360, Ohio Valley Gasket, S&S Automotive, Sentinel, and Uline.

“The event was a great success. I’m so happy about the passion for giving back to the community,” said Andrew Grzelak, chairman of the VISION Committee. “It’s great to do fun events like this for a good cause.”
