Vernon Hills, Illinois - September 26, 2022

Close collaboration between Mitsubishi Electric and ZAYER supports the Spain-based machining leader’s entry into the U.S. market.

During the 2022 International Manufacturing Technology Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Masaru Tashiro, senior general manager of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s Industrial Automation Machinery Marketing Division, and Fernando Arocena, general manager at ZAYER, discussed the two firms’ highly productive collaboration to support ZAYER’s plans to market its highly sophisticated 5- and 6-axis milling machines in the United States.

ZAYER displayed its advanced XIOS G 6-axis bed-type milling machine at the show, featuring Mitsubishi Electric’s M850 CNC platform. The machine delivers next-level cycle time performance, reliability, and ease of use, along with a human machine interface (HMI) that can be tailored to fit the customer’s needs.

"Mitsubishi Electric's CNC expertise is perfect for these kinds of machines," said Mr. Arocena. "And we are extremely pleased with how open and collaborative their engineers have been with ours to make this happen."

Mr. Tashiro concurs, "ZAYER is a top European company, and we are extremely proud to provide the CNC technology to support their growth strategies in America," he said. "At the same time, we have a strong presence here to help with service after the sale."

Arocena is very optimistic about the future of the collaboration. "What we are doing now is just the beginning," he said.

ZAYER is represented in the United States by Comprehensive Machinery Solutions LLC (CMS). CMS has built a new showroom and tech center in New Hampshire to give customers the opportunity to experience ZAYER machines firsthand in a functioning shop environment.
