C5 Computerized Numerical Controllers Legacy Information

Background: The C5 Control platform was introduced in 1995. The purpose of this control platform was to have the ability to connect a machine to a full automotive production line. This control platform also added a handheld for programming parameters.

The C5 series is succeeded by the C64 series control platform in 1997. This control provided a 64 bit RISC processor as well as a Windows CE terminal and a variety of network cards to communicate to A series PLC's.
