C64 Computerized Numerical Controllers Legacy Information

Background: The C64 Control platform was introduced in 1997. The purpose of the control platform was to have the ability to provide a 64 bit control for the automotive industry. This control allowed for different communications to an A or Q series PLC rack. It also had the ability to use a CE terminal or a GOT for the display.

Lifecycle: Introduced (1997) - Discontinued (2006)

The C64 control is succeeded by the C70 module which is part of the IQ platform. This allows for the CNC, PLC, Motion and Robot to communicate on the same Rack and communicate via the backplane of the rack.
