M500 Computerized Numerical Controllers Legacy Information
Background: The M500 Series CNC controls were first released in 1992 to replace the M300 series control system. The M500 control series was the first control with 32 bit technology. It also provided a new drive series MDS-A which succeeded the MR-S style drives.

Migration Info
The M500 series is succeeded by the M600 series control platform. The M600 series was the first controller with 64 bit technology and a windows based front end.
