Servo/Spindle (MDS-A,B,C) Computerized Numerical Controllers Legacy Information
Background: The MDS Series Amplifiers were introduced in 1992 and succeeded the MR-S Amplifiers. The MDS series amplifiers were the first AC Digital drives that had a common DC Bus.
Lifecycle: Introduced (1992) - Discontinued (2004)
Service Life: Mitsubishi is committed to help extend the life of your CNC products for as long as reasonably practicable by offering repair service until parts/components are no longer available. See below for repair information.
Migration Info
The MDS Series amplifiers were succeeded by the MDS-D series amplifiers. This allows for complete position control as well as providing a new high-speed fiber communications from the Control to the drives.
