When three-phase power is unavailable, D&E Equipment helps farmers grow their operations with an innovative, cost-effective solution using Mitsubishi Electric VFDs

September 27, 2017
Today’s farms are more sophisticated agricultural operations than ever before. D&E Equipment of Wilmington, Ohio specializes in designing and installing customized farm infrastructure solutions such as grain storage bins, grain elevators, dryers, augers, grain handling systems and related equipment. Many of these systems require the use of three-phase power however many farms and rural areas don’t have access to three-phase power due to the cost of running additional power lines. As a result, they depend on phase converters and capacitor banks for power. Mitsubishi Electric variable frequency drives allow a single-phase system to run three-phase motors, providing a more power-efficient and economical solution over phase converters.
