EM-A Series

The EM-A Series is a next-generation sensorless servo PM motor that delivers energy savings, precision motion control, and a compact footprint. Mitsubishi Electric's proprietary salient-pole core technology enables servo-like speed control without an encoder, helping simplify system design while maintaining high performance. Through Mitsubishi Electric’s unique salient-pole core and optimized magnet design, motor volume has been reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional induction motors (IM), allowing significant downsizing of equipment. Additionally, the high-efficiency PM motor reduces power consumption, supporting energy savings and carbon neutrality at workplaces without the workload for design changes.

High Performance

Using Mitsubishi Electric’s unique salient-pole core and control technology, the motor performs high-precision speed control and positioning without an encoder. The sensorless design reduces wiring time and minimizes failure risk while allowing dual benefits of improved conveyor line cycle times and enhanced equipment value at low cost. It can also be driven by a general-purpose VFD from Mitsubishi Electric.
