When Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU)’s patriotically painted water tower began to experience sporadic amperage spikes, they underwent what they called the Stars & Stripes Water Project. The water tower was decommissioned, repainted, and retrofitted, while a method was devised to maintain water pressure for the pressure zone it served.
