M600 Computerized Numerical Controllers Legacy Information

Background: The M600 Series CNC controls were first released in 1997 to replace the M500 series control system. The M600 control series was the first control with 64 bit technology. It was also the first control platform that provided a windows based frontend.

The M600 series is succeeded by the M700 series control platform. The M700 series controller is a windows based front end with that provides a user friendly HMI. It also provided for a High speed Optical communications to the MDS-D series drives.
