Mitsubishi Electric Automation Introduces Real-Time NC Access Tools for Enhanced Productivity and Minimal Downtime
The NC Software Solution offering is ideal for Industry 4.0 initiatives, enabling advanced read/write capabilities for Mitsubishi Electric NCs. It supports cloud-based remote monitoring, data visualization, and integration with leading monitoring/OEE software.
Vernon Hills, Illinois - December 1, 2025
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of its new NC software solutions offerings, a robust package of software tools designed to provide seamless connectivity, real-time data access, and remote-control capabilities for Mitsubishi Electric numerical control (NC) systems. The offerings include the IMA Adapter family, CNC Manager suites, and NC API access, each tailored to meet the evolving needs of manufacturers and software developers in industries such as machine tool, aerospace, automotive, and complex component production.
Here is a closer look at the tools included in these software offerings:
IMA Adapter family: Enable real-time data collection from Mitsubishi Electric NCs, including standard (M7, M8, and Citizen M8 NC), Citizen M7, Citizen M6, and C-Series adapters. These MTConnect compliant adapters easily integrate into end-user visualization tools.
CNC Manager suites: Software development libraries (dynamic-link library function) for third-party developers to create custom applications to access and change machine settings such as, work & tool offsets, variables, programs, and tool life management, enabling remote performance enhancements.
NC API access: API libraries for developing advanced applications to read and write information to NC controls, offering flexibility for integration and automation. This is available for standard M7 and M8 (non-Citizen OEM) NC and Citizen M7 OEM NC.
All products in the offerings are designed specifically for Mitsubishi Electric NCs, allowing end-users and OEMs to remotely monitor and control machine data with minimal downtime. The IMA Adapter products provide real-time data that monitors critical machine performance and delivers production insights. Meanwhile, CNC Manager suites and NC API access empower users to remotely monitor real-time NC data, enabling them to make changes to machine parameters and performance. All offerings meet the latest MTConnect 2.2 standard and provide software development kits for seamless third-party integration. Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s modular approach allows for quick installation and minimal disruption to production.
"As manufacturing environments become more connected and data-driven, our IMA Adapter and NC software solutions offering empowers customers to unlock the full potential of their Mitsubishi Electric NCs. With real-time access and control, manufacturers can drive productivity, optimize performance, and accelerate their digital transformation," said David Simak, product manager for service solutions at Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
