A500 Series

Background: First released in 1997, the A500 was the successor to the A200E, representing the 3rd generation digital drive, and was the last general purpose drive to feature the white plastic casing. It was the 1st available inverter available in larger sizes - up to 1500HP. The 575V version, the A560, was available for a number of months after the official discontinuation date, until the release of the A760.

Lifecycle: Introduced (April 1997) - Discontinued (October 2005)

Service Life: Repair service for A500 Series products continues until 2015 or until parts/components become unavailable.

Migration Info: The A700 is a drop in replacement mechanically with respect to bolt hole dimensions and electrically with respect to terminal markings. Take note of the motor's FLA when sizing, as the A700 is rated in amps as opposed to kW. We encourage customers to contact your local Mitsubishi office or sales outlet to discuss options that are available.
